“Next-Gen Chips Boost Performance Efficiency”

Additionally, the robust ARM Cortex-X925 core is included in MediaTek’s 2nd Generation All Big Core design, which is featured in the new Dimensity 9400 from MediaTek. Three Cortex X4 cores and four Cortex A720 cores are combined in these, which operate at a frequency greater than 3.62 GHz. When compared to the Dimensity 9300, this enables the chip to provide performance that is 35% quicker for single-core applications and 28% faster for multi-core applications.

It is constructed using TSMC’s 2nd Generation 3nm technology, enabling it to have a power efficiency of up to forty percent higher. With its new neural processing unit (NPU) and 12-core ARM Immortalis-G925 graphics processing unit (GPU), the Dimensity 9400 can achieve faster ray tracing performance by forty percent.

In the same way that the Snapdragon 8 Elite integrates an all-big-core design, Qualcomm and MediaTek came up with the same idea. There are eight cores in all, including two prime cores clocked at an astonishing 4.32 GHz and six performance cores with a clock speed of 3.53 GHz that are also included.

TSMC’s 3nm technology was used to construct the new Snapdragon 8 Elite, which boasts a remarkable 44% gain in power efficiency while also promising a 45% increase in the performance of the central processing unit.

In addition, there is a 40% gain in both performance and power efficiency and a 35% increase in ray tracing speed, all of which are made possible by an updated Adreno 830 graphics processing unit. Additionally, this chip is compatible with Unreal Engine 5.3 and the Nanite virtualized geometry technology that it utilizes.
